"New Year, New Flow" is a transformative three-hour workshop designed to help creatives (artists, writers, musicians, etc.) kick start the new year with intention, focus, and inspiration. This immersive experience combines meditation and writing exercises to guide participants in setting meaningful goals and resetting their creative mindset for the year ahead. There will be icebreaker activities to create a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Retreat Highlights: Mindful Meditation: Led by a certified meditation instructor, this session aims to ground participants in the present moment, reduce stress, and open up the creative channels. Reflection and Visualization: Guided reflection on the previous year's achievements and challenges. Visualization exercise to help participants envision their ideal creative future. Goal Setting: Introduction to effective goal-setting strategies. Hands-on exercises to help participants articulate specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) creative goals for the upcoming year. Once again, Art Works Now has invited me to facilitate another free 8 week course as part of their Creative Aging Program in 2024 entitled Creative Revival! Creatives and "Creatives at Heart" who are 55 years of age or older are invited to unlock the transformative power of ageless wisdom and creative expression in this special virtual class. This 8-week immersive experience draws inspiration from two remarkable books on creativity: "12 Notes On Life and Creativity" by Quincy Jones and "It's Never Too Late to Begin Again" by Julia Cameron. The course provides a unique opportunity to explore the intersections of personal growth, artistic exploration, and a deeper connection with oneself. Each week we will delve into key themes and practices from the selected books, fostering a supportive and enriching environment for participants to journal creatively.
